Randolph Communications Applicant, Emma Morgan, Receives Award from Foundation for Rural Service

Asheboro, NC –The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) announced that it has awarded over $1 million in scholarships since its inception; empowering rural students throughout the country to advance their communities with invaluable skill sets and experiences.

The FRS College Scholarship Program awards one-time scholarships to students from rural America for their first year of college, university or vocational-technical school. Each student is sponsored by a NTCA (the Rural Broadband Association) member company. Randolph Communications applicant, Emma Morgan was awarded a $2,500 scholarship. Emma will graduate from North Moore High School and will be attending North Carolina State University to study Biological Sciences as well as Political Science.  Emma’s application was selected out of an application pool of over 2,000 applications from rural communities across the United States. Only 60 scholarships were awarded.
