Randolph Communications’ Customer Care Manager, Rachel Bowman, Receives Prestigious Bloomfield Fund for Women’s Advancement scholarship from Foundation for Rural Service
Asheboro, NC –The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) announced that it has awarded over $1 million in scholarships since its inception; empowering rural students throughout the country to advance their communities with invaluable skill sets and experiences.
The FRS College Scholarship Program awards one-time scholarships to students from rural America. Each student is sponsored by a NTCA (the Rural Broadband Association) member company. Randolph Communications employee, Rachel Bowman was awarded a $5,000 scholarship. Rachel was a winner for the Shirley Bloomfield Fund for Women’s Advancement scholarship. This scholarship is in honor of Shirley’s 36 years with NTCA, her contributions to the rural telecom industry and her strong support of women in telecom.
On top of her Bachelor’s Degree from Western Carolina University, Rachel is obtaining an Accounting degree from Liberty University while juggling full-time responsibilities at work and maintaining work-life balance with two young children at home. Her dedication and work ethic are very impressive.
